CHILDREN'S PROGRAM (ages 3-10)

CREATIVE DANCE (ages 3-4)
A curriculum designed for young dancers that develops and encourages creative movement, nonverbal self-expression, imagination, rhythm, musicality, and body awareness.
Class length: 60 minutes
Number of classes per week: 1 (Saturday, 9:00-10:00 am)

PRE-BALLET (ages 5-6)
A curriculum designed for young dancers that develops and encourages creative movement, nonverbal self-expression, imagination, rhythm, musicality, and body awareness.
Class length: 1 hour
Number of classes per week: 1 (Saturday, 9:00-10:00 am)

BALLET I (ages 7-8)
Development of attention span, participation, self-discipline, proper conduct in class, memory, and focus on the training process. Concentration on placement and correct body alignment. Beginning musical considerations such as phrasing, accents, tempo, and rhythm. Introduces ballet positions. Development of coordination skills. Introduces dance education for mastering the placement of the body, legs, arms, and head.
Class length: 1 hour
Number of classes per week: 1 (Saturday, 10:00-11:00 am)

BALLET II (ages 9-10)
Continues dance education for mastering the placement of the body, legs, arms, and head.
Class length: 1 hour
Number of classes per week: 1-2 (Tuesday, 5:00-6:00 pm, Saturday, 10:00-11:00 am)

JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY, MODERN I, II (ages 7-10)
Jazz, Contemporary, Modern I, II will focus on learning proper dance techniques such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality, expression, and developing rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street, and Contemporary, Modern at the beginning level to help develop a well-rounded dancer.
Number of classes per week: 1 (Thursday, 5:00-6:00 pm)
