PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM

SESSION DATES:

BALLET III (ages 10-11+) 

by placement only

Continuing training in the fundamentals of classical ballet technique, vocabulary and studio etiquette. Development of technical skills, coordination, discipline, and musicality. Classes in physical training with concentration on placement and correct body alignment. 

     Required days of classes: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 4:15 - 6:00 pm

Classes include Ballet, Pre-pointe and Repertoire

    Additional classes: Various (can be added on an individual basis)

 

BALLET IV-B (ages 11-13+)

by placement only

Exercises from previous levels are repeated with increased frequency. Development of the legs and feet are stressed, with work on half-toe and in later stages en pointe. The technical vocabulary of turning and batteries will be introduced and expanded.

Required days of classes:

Monday, Friday - 4:15 - 6:00 pm, Wednesday - 4:15 - 7:00 and Saturday, 11:00  - 1:00 pm

Classes include Ballet, Pointe, Repertoire, Contemporary

Additional classes: (character, basic partnering conception, contemporary, variations, body conditioning/strength training/floor barre, etc.) and rehearsals can be added on an individual basis

BALLET IV (ages 11-13+)

by placement only

Continuing training in the fundamentals of classical ballet technique, vocabulary and studio etiquette. Development of technical skills, coordination, discipline, and musicality. Exercises from previous levels are repeated with increased frequency. Development of the legs and feet are stressed, with more work en pointe.  Required days of classes: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - 6:00 - 9:00 pm

Classes included Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Repertoire

   Additional days of classes: Wednesday, Saturday

Additional classes: (character, basic partnering conception, contemporary, variations, body conditioning/strength training/floor barre, etc.) and rehearsals can be added on an individual basis

BALLET V (ages 14+)

by placement only

Exercises from the previous level are repeated with increased frequency with work en pointe. Classes will increase in complexity and there will be great emphasis on the development of line and smooth connection of movement quality. Development of the epaulements and port de bras. Strengthening the student's stability in various turns, beats, and large jumps. Repertoire is introduced to further the development of virtuosity, artistry, musicality, and personality. 

Required days of classes: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 6:00 - 9:00 pm

    Classes include Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Repertoire, Contemporary  

     Additional day of classes: Saturday

Additional classes: (character, basic partnering conception, contemporary, variations, body conditioning/strength training/floor barre, etc.) and rehearsals can be added on an individual basis

BALLET VI (ages 15+)

by placement only

Exercises from the previous level are repeated with increased frequency with work en pointe. Classes will increase more in complexity and there will be great emphasis on the development of artistry,

speed, and quality of movement. Further development of the epaulements and port de bras.

Strengthening the student's stability in various turns, beats, and large jumps.

Repertoire is introduced to further the development of virtuosity, artistry, musicality, and personality.

Required days of classes:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 6:00 - 9:00 pm and Saturday - 11:00 - 1:00 pm 

Classes include Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Repertoire, Contemporary

Additional classes: (character, basic partnering conception, contemporary, variations, body conditioning/strength training/floor barre, etc.) and rehearsals can be added on an individual basis
