A&A BALLET Opens Auditions for All Roles – Dancers Ages 4-24 – Saturdays January 2024 in Chicago
A&A BALLET, under the artistic direction of internationally acclaimed artists and directors Anna Reznik and Alexei Kremnev, announces auditions for roles in “Cinderella”, to be performed at Athenaeum Center at 2936 N. Southport Ave. on Saturday, May 18, 2023.

A&A BALLET will present Alexei Kremnev’s highly acclaimed “Cinderella” Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago.
More than 100 members of Kremnev and partner Anna Reznik’s esteemed A&A Ballet company will bring the timeless fairy tale to life, as they tell the story of a young girl who discovers her prince.
Performed in Chicago in 2012 by The Joffrey Academy, Kremnev’s fascinating “Cinderella” sold out to an exhilarated crowd, with his choreography celebrated by The Huffington Post as “electric” and “echoing with audiences of all ages.” BTS Celebs describes the enchanting production as “a masterpiece, a joy from start to finish.”
Kremnev, a Bolshoi trained dancer and former Founding Artistic Director of The Joffrey Academy and The Joffrey Studio Company, defines his choreography as “joyful and accessible” and adds that it is “a contrast to the dark seriousness that pervades so much of today’s ballet.”
Auditions are open to children and young adults of all levels and styles of dance ages 4-24.
Audition Attire: Girls-black camisole leotard, pink footed tights, pink canvas ballet and pointe shoes (age/level appropriate); Boys-black footed tights, white tight fitted t-shirt, black ballet shoes. The audition will include some basic dance movements and a combination to be performed in character. No preparation of audition material is necessary. Dancers will be notified via email within the week after the audition if they have been cast. A production fee will be required for dancers performing “The Art Deco Nutcracker” and varies depending on role. Rehearsals begin in March and will take place primarily on Saturdays.
When: Saturdays in January: 13, 20, 27 I 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Who: Ballet company, A&A BALLET, was founded in 2016 by Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik. Both are distinguished dancers with experience as Artistic Directors at the Joffrey Ballet Academy and the Joffrey Studio Company. Kremnev’s work has been presented at the world-renowned Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Lincoln Center in New York, and the Opernhaus Zurich in Switzerland, among other prestigious venues across the globe. Both Kremnev and Reznik have been recognized as Influential People in the Arts in Cincinnati and have received multiple awards for their leadership.
