A&A BALLET Opens Auditions for All Roles – Dancers Ages 4-24 – Starting September 9, 2023
What: A&A BALLET, under the artistic direction of internationally acclaimed artists and directors Anna Reznik and Alexei Kremnev, announces auditions for roles in “The Art Deco Nutcracker”, to be performed at Athenaeum Center at 2936 N. Southport Ave. on December 2, 2023.

Set in 1920s America, “The Art Deco Nutcracker,” is a beloved holiday performance featuring the traditional musical score by Tchaikovsky, magical costumes and stunning choreography. The best young talent is on display with an international, multicultural cast, and International Top Awards winners. Renowned dancer Alexei Kremnev is at the helm as Drosselmeyer and they are currently casting the role of Mother Ginger.
This critically acclaimed, one-of-a-kind performance features children and is visually stimulating and fun for the entire family.
Auditions are open to children and young adults of all levels and styles of dance ages 4-24.
Audition Attire: Girls-black camisole leotard, pink footed tights, pink canvas ballet and pointe shoes (age/level appropriate); Boys-black footed tights, white tight fitted t-shirt, black ballet shoes. The audition will include some basic dance movements and a combination to be performed in character. No preparation of audition material is necessary. Dancers will be notified via email within the week after the audition if they have been cast. A production fee will be required for dancers performing “The Art Deco Nutcracker” and varies depending on role. Rehearsals begin in September and will take place primarily on Saturdays.
When: Saturdays September 9, 16, 23, 30, 2023 I 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Who: Ballet company, A&A BALLET, was founded in 2016 by Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik. Both are distinguished dancers with experience as Artistic Directors at the Joffrey Ballet Academy and the Joffrey Studio Company. “The Art Deco Nutcracker” is Kremnev’s 11 full-length ballet. His work has been presented at the world-renowned Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Lincoln Center in New York, and the Opernhaus Zurich in Switzerland, among other prestigious venues across the globe. Both Kremnev and Reznik have been recognized as Influential People in the Arts in Cincinnati and have received multiple awards for their leadership.
